Candidate interveiwThe recruitment industry has evolved enormously since the mid 1980’s.  The principle has stayed the same – recruiters find vacancies and candidates, and make their money by putting them together.  However the industry has sought to remove itself from the cut-throat reputation developed from years of over zealous recruiters shoe-horning unsuitable candidates into unsuitable roles.  Stories abound from candidates and companies alike; the candidate who didn’t have the skills they’d claimed and the recruiter who hadn’t verified their claims, the company with a CEO who picks on accountants and the recruiter who squeezed a timid bookkeeper in to the role without telling them what they were in for!
