Tax-Free Childcare For The Self-Employed –It’s Coming!Since 2005, if an employer is signed up to the Government’s Childcare Voucher scheme, working parents have been able to receive help with childcare costs through salary sacrifice. Both parents have been able to sign up for the scheme and the potential savings per year have been around £1900. However, this system has only been open to PAYE employees, not to the self-employed and only to those employees whose employer is a participant in the scheme.
